By downloading, installing, or using Totus Secure Notes (“the App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Totus Secure Notes provides encrypted, local storage for notes and templates on your mobile device. Features include optional biometric unlock, vault export/import, clinical-style templates (including SoFo Postpartum HV home-visit notes with manual weight fields and EMR copy), encrypted voice memos, trip/mileage planning with optional GPS tracking, themes, reminders, encrypted attachments, advertising on the free tier, in-app purchases, on-device Template AI (Pro Lifetime), and maps-based route planning without required API keys.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or professional note-taking in accordance with these Terms and applicable app store rules.
The App is open-source under the MIT License for source code; these Terms govern your use of the distributed application and related services.

Clinical / professional use: Templates (including nursing forms) are aids only. You are solely responsible for accuracy, compliance with employer policies, HIPAA or local healthcare rules, and verification before entering data into official systems.
The App may be offered free of charge. v1.2.18 does not display third-party banner ads until production ad network IDs are configured. When ads are enabled, ad content is provided by third-party networks; we do not endorse advertised products.

Exact products and prices are shown in the App and app stores at time of purchase.
Purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted through the store’s refund process unless otherwise required by law.
Template AI and Note Assist use a third-party language model downloaded from Hugging Face and run on your device. By downloading the model, you consent to that download and to local processing of text you submit for AI assist. AI suggestions are not medical advice. You must review all output before saving or using it in official systems. See On-device AI policy.
All IAP transactions are handled by the platform store. You authorize the store to charge your payment method. Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled in store settings before the renewal date.
We may change pricing, features included in tiers, or discontinue products with reasonable notice where required by store policies.
Unless a future feature explicitly states otherwise, we do not host your notes. Loss of device, forgotten master password, or deleted vault files may be permanent. You are responsible for backups via encrypted export.
We design the App for local encryption and privacy, but no system is 100% secure. THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. See Section 11.

“Totus Secure Notes,” logos, and branding are owned by the developer unless otherwise noted. Open-source components are licensed under their respective licenses (see repository LICENSE and dependency notices).
You retain ownership of content you create in the App.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR IN-APP PURCHASES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU USE THE FREE VERSION.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or features with notice where practicable.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
